The Laughing Classroom Post

Hello All-- I hope that everyone is doing well. Continue to work on your assignments as outlined in the Fun In The Classroom syllabus. The final project should be useful to you--remember it is flexible. The last thing that I want is busy work that will not benefit you and your goals for growth as an educator.

The journal and project can be turned in after completion via snail mail or email.

There are many fantastic ideas throughout the book to integrate humor and play into your classroom.

Thanks,
Dan

The laughter quiz was pretty fun to do. I scored a "warm". My husband of course told me he would have scored a "Hottest" when he was still in the classroom. It was a good eye-opening quiz. The next day in school I really made a consious effort to bring that up. It seemed to work for the mean time. It reminds us to spend a little time to make sure we laugh and have fun with our kids during our busy class schedules.

The Laughter Journal was a neat experience as well. It allowed me to take a step back and truely apprieciate my family. It also made me look at some things differently at school with funny situations. It allowed me to reflect more on my personal and professional life. After taking a few moments on the days I wrote, it was nice just to sit down and reflect on all the great things going on in my life. Especially my 2 children.
